Folklores also makes fragrant micro batches of coffee beans using its small in-house roaster, packaging the beans in bags for customers to buy and take home. Blends range from fairly acidic lighter roasts, with hints of lemon peel and white flowers, to warmer dark roasts with notes of tobacco and chocolate.

Folklores’ full-bodied whole-milk latte with hints of cinnamon wakes me up most mornings. Gideon rightly chuckles at me when I ask for medium strength—fair warning, Folklores’ brew will fuel you for hours. Try the Ethiopiano, a squat piccolo latte topped with a shot of espresso and a dollop of foamed milk. If you’re looking for a slower, more traditional coffee experience, the jebena is a quiet morning treat: You’ll receive a medium-ground rich brew served in the type of spouted clay pot that’s typically used in Ethiopian coffee ceremonies.

Make ahead
After the balls are dipped and put into the bundt, wrap the bundt up and put it the fridge right away. The next day, take it out and leave it on the countertop while you heat your oven. Bake as usual and enjoy hot and fresh.

How to store
Monkey bread is best right out of the oven, but if you have leftovers, store them in an air tight container on the countertop for up to three days. Reheat before enjoying.

I hope monkey bread is in your future! It just might change your world.

1/4 cup unsalted butter melted and cooled
2 ounces (60ml) Vodka
4 ounces (120ml) Tomato Juice
1/2 ounce (15ml) fresh Lemon Juice
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated Horseradish or Creamy prepared Horseradish *see note above
2 pinches Celery Salt
3 dashes Sriracha Sauce (or more to taste)
2 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
INSTRUCTIONS

Combine all the ingredients into a mixing glass. Add ice and stir to combine ingredients and chill the cocktail. This is not a shaken cocktail.
Strain into an ice filled glass and garnish.
Garnish – There are a ton of variations. Go with what you prefer… Celery Stalk, Lemon Wedge, Lime Wedge, Pickled Green Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes, Olives (add a little olive juice for a dirty Bloody Mary), Baby Carrots, Cocktail Onions…

If not, cook it some more, turn off the heat, and test it again. If you overcook your jam, the sugar will caramelize and it won’t taste good and there’s nothing you can do. Better to undercook it, test it, then cook it some more. Ladle the warm jam into clean jars and cover. Cool at room temperature, then put in the refrigerator where it will keep for several months.

I’m not going to lie—I could just eat a bowl of the lentil sloppy joe filling like it was soup. It’s that good! But that aside, serving these in traditional sloppy joe fashion is the way to go. Toast some buns, and add sliced red onion to the bottom bun, so it doesn’t get too soggy. Then pile on the sloppy joe mixture, pickles, and top bun. Bring napkins!

Reduce the heat to medium and add the olive oil to the pan. Gently tilt the pan around so the olive oil covers the base of the pan. The olive oil should be so warm that it shimmers on the pan (if not, give it a little more time to warm up).
Carefully pour the egg into the skillet and watch out for hot oil splatters (if you’re planning to add another egg to the same pan, pour it onto the side so there’s room for another).

3/4 cup warm milk 110ºF
2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast 1 envelope
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg room temp
1 egg yolk additional, room temp
1/4 cup unsalted butter melted and cooled
3 cup bread flour or 360g all purpose flour + 3.57g vital wheat gluten
3/4 tsp salt
