Mount Your Bikes as Decor
When you have a stylish, minimalist wall mount, even bikes can double as decor—especially if you paint a statement wall or accent nook in a corresponding color, like Regan Baker did here.
Hang Your Pots and Pans
Hang a long towel bar (or two) in your kitchen to store pots, pans, lids, and other hangable items of various sizes. Or just install hooks above the kitchen island.
Roll Up a Cart
Installing custom shelves can be a pain. Instead, roll up a tiny bar cart or étagère to give your linens a home. It’s also a good place for flowers to freshen up a guest bathroom or powder room: one level for towels and soap and the other for products used during nighttime rituals.
Hang Garden Tools in the Garage
Now here’s a garage that cleans up nicely. Interior designer Annie Selke worked with Gladiator Garage to add work stations, wall storage, shelves, and lockers for a delightfully organized look.
Repurpose Old Filing Cabinets
Line up old filing cabinets or work tables in a row as a makeshift buffet/ console table. Leanne Ford elevated the space by hanging large-scale artwork near the exposed storage pieces.
Tuck It Behind Closed Doors
Keep bathroom necessities like extra towels and beauty products tucked away in a cabinet and then cover things like tissue boxers in prettier covers to dress them up. A towel rack above the toilet will also add some spaced. This will ensure bathroom linens stay organized and (the best part) are dry when you go to grab ’em.
Use Old Bins, Boxes, and Crates
Leanne Ford used old drawers and wire baskets to keep things organized in the living room without spending a fortune on more storage furniture. Line wooden crates or something similar with fabric keep to protect your goods and make it look a little more polished.
