I was in Malmö, Sweden for the international food conference Parabere Forum. Which takes place every year on the weekend just before 8 March Women’s Day. The difference of Parabere Forum from other conferences is that it focuses on women in the gastronomy sector. This non-profit independent conference is organized by a female journalist to support and give voice to women in professional kitchens.
The conference, held for the fourth time, is constantly growing. This year, four hundred participants from all over the world came to the hall. Among the speakers on the stage are Lara Gilmore, director of the Food For Soul project; Ronni Khan, founder of OzHarvest fighting food waste; award-winning French woman chef Anne-Sophie Pic; After creating an edible garden on his balcony, there were names like Indira Naidoo, who expanded the business and established roof gardens in different cities around the world. They are all women who have made a huge difference around the world with what they do around the food and changed the lives of thousands of people.
