Lighting is a very effective and economical option in changing the character of the space. Chandeliers in particular do just that. It creates dim lighting and looks decorative, but also creates a striking focal point. However, you need to pay attention to some points while hanging your chandelier.
There is a calculation method for choosing the right chandelier. Let’s say you are using a chandelier above your dining table, measure the width and length of your table. Let’s say the width of your table is 120 cm. Divide this in half, then add 22 cm. It will come out 82 cm. This shows the size your chandelier should be.
If you are going to use a chandelier in a small room, be sure to have 4 or 8 arms. In large spaces, you can choose ones with 8 or more arms. However, do not use bulbs with very high wattages in a chandelier with many arms. 25-watt bulbs will do the trick.
With different style and material options, chandeliers are indispensable for our homes… The chandelier is not just a lighting! First you need to dismantle your chandelier. Check the weight of the chandelier after disconnecting the electricity. If there are heavy crystal stones that can be removed, remove them. Then loosen the nut of the mirror and lift the mirror.
Remove the cables from the junction box. Check if all cables are live.
Hold the link of the chandelier with one hand. With the other hand, unscrew the junction box and the chandelier with a screwdriver.
Take the chandelier carefully. There should be three cables left above. Clean your workspace. Carefully collect the screws, boxes and parts.
Carefully screw the metal part of the chandelier into place. Thread the cables through the holes in the metal.
After connecting the cable ends, clip them and gather them to fit into the mirror.
Fix the mirror to the wall, but leave an opening to make the necessary corrections.
