Painting Suggestions for Different Surfaces

YOU WANT TO PAINT:

MAKE THE CERAMIC JOINTS:

  • The joint paint is technically an epoxy-based insulation material with paint additive. It is prepared with different color options and offered for sale in this way.
  • Do not worry if it spills onto the ceramic surface. You can rub them with a sponge. You can remove dried paint stains by carefully scraping them off with a flat blade.

DON’T: Ignore mildew and moisture. Joint paints are not applied on moldy and damp surfaces. Beforehand, rub thoroughly with a spray that cleans mold, fungus and moisture stains. Apply with a fine brush or work with a fine paint applicator.

WALLS PRINTING TECHNIQUE:

DO:

  • If you use a small roller sponge brush, this method provides a more controlled application. It does not drip paint and gives a more saturated texture on the surface.

DON’T:

  • If you want a flawless and perfect look, even if you are very careful and steady, the printing technique is not for you. Because the beauty of the printing technique is that it reflects a haphazard and messy style instead of sharp and clear lines.

MAKE STENCIL:

  • Spray adhesives are ideal for fixing the stencil to the wall. Squeeze a small amount and after attaching to the wall, press the template firmly by passing it with your fingertips. This prevents possible paint leakage.
  • Use a stencil brush. A flat, short and hard tip brush pattern allows you to apply it perfectly. You can prepare a set for yourself as you will find many affordable options in the market.

DO NOT:

  • Do not apply paint across the stencil. Because this way, the paint will leak under the stencil and spoil the pattern. This is the most accurate technique for stencil painting. Once you’ve dipped your brush in the paint, wipe off the excess paint on a towel and then apply small strokes into the template.
  • You do not have to cover the entire wall with a stencil pattern. Applying a few distinctive colors on a certain area of the wall creates a much more eye-catching atmosphere. Can everything be painted? Earthenware pots

MAKE SOIL Pots:

  • Wash the pots with warm water before painting and sand them with a nylon brush. This cleans the minerals and heavy plant salts that cause white spots on the pot surface. Then let the pots dry well.

DON’T:

  • If you want to fix colors in flower pots, do not use standard masking tape. Because while removing, it can also remove the parts you paint. Instead, opt for lightly adhesive tapes for sensitive surfaces.

MAKE GLASS:

  • When painting glass surfaces, apply primer first. This prevents the main paint from being permanent and rough on the surface. Apply two thin coats instead of a thick one for good results.

DON’T:

  • Do not turn it over when painting glass surfaces. This causes paint gaps. However, when painting small glass surfaces such as bottles or jars, for best results, lay it sideways on a high grid and turn it so that the paint touches everywhere. Don’t worry if the paint doesn’t touch. After it dries, you can fix it with a small brush.
